Axel Schäfer
Bundesverband Betriebliche Mobilitaet e.V

As the lead of the non-profit FMFE (Fleet and Mobility Management Federation Europe), a  network of European fleet and mobility management Associations and organizations, Axel Schaefer will explain the group’s mobility accreditation and certification program and how it can benefit your organization.

The future of  fleet management should be sustainable. It always needs two points of view: The economic and also the ecological compatibility of mobility. The covid crisis brought about many changes and many companies are now asking themselves the question: How must the mobility of the future be designed? Without a doubt, automotive mobility will continue to play a major role in the coming years. However, the public is demanding that companies pay more attention to sustainability. For Europe, this means that a new mobility management is emerging from pure fleet management.

With the ECSM European Certificate for sustainable Mobility Management, the "FMFE Fleet And Management Federation Europe" (as an association of leading fleet and mobility management associations in European countries) has created a certification tool that helps companies to accompany the desired development towards more sustainability.  In the presentation, Axel Schaefer, spokesman of the FMFE, introduces the background. He informs about the developments (also about plans of the EU) for more sustainability and shows why it might be wise to integrate appropriate programs for your own fleet and company sooner rather than later.
