In today’s dynamic business environment, the drumbeat on corporate culture has never been louder. The Great Resignation and “Quiet Quitting” have taken the spotlight on topics that leaders must address. Research indicates there is a common thread with companies that are weathering this storm – team members feel that leaders care about them. This presentation will define culture and why it is so important. Peter Drucker said, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast,” and then someone added “and it eats everything else for lunch and dinner.” This presentation provides data to back this assertion up, while also proposing a fundamental component of success is a culture of care. Health and mental wellness, physical safety and personal growth are becoming critical factors of recruitment and retention. Building an amazing culture for an organization is no longer the sole responsibility of the CEO, but rather leaders throughout the business will have to be accountable for this as well. It will also be important to recognize the five different generations in the workplace and the perspectives that each generation has regarding job satisfaction, diversity & inclusion, safety, leadership, and overall engagement. Building a caring culture will be on the agenda of every successful company in the future.
