The discussion will contrast and compare driver safety issues in various areas of the world. The U.S. saw a drastic increase in crashes and resulting injuries and fatalities in 2021. It looks like 2022 numbers are only slightly better. Many other areas of the world did not see these drastic increases. Why has this occurred? What are the reasons why some areas have seen increases, while others have not? We can also discuss the similarities with driver safety issues such as distraction, impairment, and speeding, discuss what various countries do to combat these problems and provide solutions how to reduce the risks associated with these activities. We can also address how countries are approaching the increase in ADAS and autonomous features.
